Ditch the Itch Salve

Our Ditch the Itch Salve is perfect for all types of itching: insect bites (mosquitoes, bees, hornets, black flies), dry skin, rashes, cuts, scrapes, eczema, psoriasis, scars and can even be used as a lip balm!

The real powerhouse in this salve is the plantain which I sustainably wildcraft from our chemical-free farm here in Maine. Plantain is my favorite plant for bug (insect) bites and stings as well as any type of itching. It is so soothing, eases the pain and itching and helps it to heal faster. The plantain, along with organic lavender and organic chamomile are infused into organic hemp seed, castor, and olive oils. All of these herbs are very soothing to bug bites, stings, dry skin and itching. I also add peppermint and lavender pure essential oils.

Available in a few different container options: 1, 2, and 4 oz plastic white jars, as well as a 0.35 twist up tube.

Peppermint essential oil is known to: provide itch relief, keep insects away, stimulate blood circulation, be antibacterial, and more.

Lavender essential oil is known to be: antimicrobial, soothing to bites, healing for burns and scars, and more.

Hemp Seed Oil is known to: dramatically decrease skin dryness to alleviate itching and irritation. It is also known to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which help sooth bites.

Organic Beeswax is known to: protect against irritants while still allowing the skin to breathe, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral (for skin irritation and bites/stings).

Olive Oil is known to: be a good skin cell regenerator (because it is high in oleic acid), attract external moisture to the skin, & soothe inflamed skin.

Castor Oil is known to: be soothing and lubricating (it's rich in fatty acids) and to reduce scars. It is a humectant that attracts moisture to the skin.

To Use: Apply to insect bites, stings, and itchy skin as soon as possible and apply as needed. Can also be used as a lip balm or salve for skin.
